ABOUT QIGONG

Qi is a Chinese word that doesn’t have an easy translation into English. I like to think of it as the substrate of all being that exists on a fluid, dynamic vibrational spectrum from the most solid matter to the most efferent light energy and gravity. In our world, it makes up all vital life-force energy and substance.

Qigong (literally, “Qi skill”) is a relatively recent umbrella term to encapsulate a huge array of practices and forms that come from East Asia. Many schools include qigong as one of the branches of East Asian medicine (along with acupuncture, herbs, Tui Na massage, etc). Some teachers of qigong offer dozens of shorter practices, each working on a different organ, emotion or other aspect of life. It is said that there are more qigong forms than hairs on a cow’s back. To the contrary, here at Zi Du Du Ren, I teach the methods of Yuan Gong, a comprehensive system of qigong that is accessible and easy to learn for all people. It comes from the Ren Xue System. The founder, Yuan Tze, was raised in China, steeped in the Wisdom Traditions and trained as a medical qigong doctor. He developed Ren Xue to bring the healing and balancing potential of qigong to the contemporary human world, in which many of us have jobs, families, etc. I am grateful to have found Ren Xue and Yuan Tze’s teachings.

Curious?

I recommend spending some time looking at the Ren Xue website, and checking out the many videos on YouTube. Ren Xue is unlike many other lineages and schools of qigong out there. I want to make sure you know what you’re signing up for. My teacher Yuan Tze has developed and rolled out Ren Xue in the hopes that it can help raise as many people as possible to a high level of health, wellbeing, contribution, realization and wisdom.
